Dear Fellow Pet Owners,

I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you our experience with Meloxicam.

We have an eleven year old black lab named Angel.  Angel has been on Meloxicam for about four months now and we have noticed a huge difference in her.

We were very hesitant to put her on medication and avoided it for quite some time.  We ignored the signs that she was in discomfort.  She would trip while going upstairs.  She had difficulty getting up from a lying down position.   She struggled at the end of our walks.  It wasn’t until we were at a routine visit with Dr. McGill at Martindale Animal Clinic that it was pointed out that Angel was in pain, as she was really struggling to get up.  We were in denial because she still chased squirrels and still jumped insanely when we got the leash out.

We decided to do a two week trial of Meloxicam to see if there was an improvement.  There was a subtle improvement after the first two weeks, but it was three to four weeks later when we noticed the big difference.  Since being on the medication she has not tripped once going up the stairs.  She goes up and down stairs freely and jumps up and down off of the furniture.  She enjoys her longer walks.  She pounces on her toys.  She seems to forget that she is eleven years old and at times even behaves like a puppy.  We credit this to Meloxicam.

We all want to do the best thing for our pets; sometimes it is difficult knowing what to do.  They can’t talk to us and tell us they are in pain.  Thanks to Dr. McGill and Meloxicam, our Angel has a much better quality of life now.

That, in our opinion, is the best thing for our pets.
