I have always had a lifelong interest in animals and science, and decided to pursue this passion by graduating with honors from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian college in Orillia in 2014. I started my career at Martindale right after graduating as an animal care assistant, and have since shifted to one of the full time Registered Veterinary Technicians. I have special interests in emergency medicine and dentistry and get to be involved in both my passions daily at Martindale. Since becoming registered I have also become a certified Fear Free Professional, which means I practice veterinary medicine in a way that reduces stress and anxiety in patients and promotes a positive experience for animals at the clinic. My favourite part about Martindale is being able to work in a fast-paced environment that offers exceptional care.

I have a 11-year-old husky cross named Silas who loves to spend his time digging holes and sun bathing and a 13-year-old American Eskimo named Lucy who likes to swim and play catch. On my days off I can be found enjoying the outdoors, hanging out with friends, checking out local breweries, or getting lost in a good book.
