Growing up I always loved animals, and was the neighbourhood dog walker and pet sitter. Since then I knew I wanted to build a career in animal care or research. I grew up riding horses and from there got to work on farms working with horses, donkeys and goats. I love working and learning about all species large and small. In the past year I've been working more with companion animals and have worked in shelter and rescue environments working with dogs and cats and also wildlife. Since I started Martindale I've learned lots and have been impressed by the quality care given to pets everyday! I have two cats of my own as well as a ball python.
