I started working at Martindale Animal Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant in August 2016. I moved here from a very small town, Tillsonburg, and am loving living in a bigger city with a beautiful landscape (and lots of wineries nearby!). This is my first experience working at a clinic and I am extremely grateful for all the wonderful, intelligent, and caring people I’ve been able to work with, and how much I have learned about the field. Animals have always been my passion, and coming in to work every day and seeing all the furry faces never fails to make me smile!

I am currently attending the Veterinary Technology program at the University of Guelph - Ridgetown College. Working here has prepared me greatly for this challenge! I'm so excited to continue learning to become the best Technician I can be!

Since becoming Fear Free certified, I have noticed a huge change with many of our patients. It feels so great to go at the pet’s pace and put their comfort first. My own cat at home was very anxious when it came to nail trims. Through incorporating Fear Free techniques she no longer is scared of the nail clippers!

In my spare time I love to box, travel, garden, play music, and hang out with my band of furry family members. My husband and I’s crew consists of two bunnies, Agustus and McDuff, two rats, Hero and Gimli, and our 3 kitties, Pele, Perci, and our newest tiny addition Poikilo!

My life is full of animals and I couldn't love it more!
